Helambu Gosaikunda Trek
The Gosaikunda lake is also an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake in the Langtang National Park of Nepal, located at an altitude of 13.8 hectares (34 acres) at an altitude of 4,380 meters in Rasuwa district. The lake melts and becomes the Trishuli River; in winter season the lake will be frozen or ice for six months from October to June. If you want to avoid the congestion of famous trekking routes like Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit, this trek is the best option. The trek is a short distance from the famous Eight-Thousand, in a less grand landscape.
