But there is often confusion as to which peak this is, and groups often head up a vertical line to a subsidiary peak known as the Little/Small Larkya (5,807 m) base camp is near Larkya La at 5,135 m. From this base camp, one can climb the small Larkya peak for a long time. However, climbing Thulo (Big) Larkya (6,249 m) requires a high camp. It is a long but easy climb up a snow slope a little less steep than Little Larkya Peak to reach the true Larkya Peak (6,249 m). The best option for climbers is to make a high camp and then summit Peak.
