Trekked to the Tiger's Nest and experienced the local Bhutanese culture and food Bhutan trip - Our trip was nothing short of amazing and so well organized. Our guide Onyschuk was very friendly and super accommodating. Would definitely recommend booking your tour through Jagadamba Holidays!
I had an incredible experience trekking the Langtang region with Jagadamba Holidays as a solo female traveler from the US. From start to finish, everything was seamless and well organized. My guide, Kiran, was outstanding. He went above and beyond every day, cooking meals for me, adjusting our schedule when I had a night of extremely poor sleep, and consistently making sure I felt safe, comfortable, and encouraged. What truly stood out was how much he cared beyond the trek itself, he checked in on me during my post-trek days in Kathmandu and even took me shopping (handling all the bargaining!). The owner, Narendra, was also incredibly involved and thoughtful. He checked in with me multiple times while I was in the city and stayed in touch throughout the trek. That level of personal attention is rare and made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. I also trekked with a porter, which I highly recommend, it made the journey much more comfortable. For anyone considering going solo, don’t hesitate. I met plenty of other travelers along the way in the tea houses, so you’re never really alone unless you want to be. Jagadamba Holidays came highly recommended by a friend who trekked with them about 20 years ago, and it’s clear they’ve maintained their quality over time. Overall, a 10/10 experience, I will absolutely be trekking with them again!
Thank you Narendra for coordinating and organising the Annapurna Trek. Your meet and greet, and final goodbye at the airport were much appreciated. From the moment we arrived with you, we felt we were in safe hands. The success and enjoyment of our trek was very much due to Tek (guide) and Depesh (porter). Only having to carry a day pack while Depesh carried our luggage, always with a big smile, made life much easier for us. Tek is a kind man and a true professional. He is both passionate and inspiring about his work. His fluency in English meant that there were no communication issues, and he even understood our Yorkshire sense of humour. We were involved in any decisions that had to be made but were guided by his expertise, which made our journey safe and event free. During the course of the trek, we became a great team of four, with shared experiences and a love for the mountains. It all came to an end too quickly after the highlight of Thorong La, which is why there has to be a return visit. Without hesitation, we will plan our next trip with you. Until then, take care and thank you all.
Amazing Trek to EBC, Bardiya Nat’l Park (Bengal Tigers) & Paro, Bhutan hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)!!! My sister and I made a 21 day trip to Nepal/Bhutan, which included a Tiger Safari in Bardiya National Park where we were lucky enough to see three Bengal Tigers, elephants, several deer, dozens of birds species and more!…hiking to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) in Bhutan and the trek to EBC in April 2025. Our tour operator, Narendra, could not have done more to accommodate us. He made sure that every detail was covered. He answered countless questions, exchanged money for us, provided duffles, sleeping bags and hiking poles so that we didn’t have to carry this extra gear to Nepal, met with us daily when in Kathmandu to go over the itinerary, trek prep, recommended restaurants… and he literally appeared out of nowhere when we didn’t feel well after the trek to make sure we were ok, etc. etc. He also, texted me when I was experiencing altitude sickness to make sure I was ok. Kiran Bhandari was our designated guide for the Everest trek. He was exceptional in every way and a fine gentleman. He made sure that we stayed hydrated, were well feed and maintained a pace that allowed our journey to be a success. He carried things for us at certain times and waited on us hand and foot the entire journey. I did start to experience altitude sickness on day 6. He stayed with me the entire day to make sure I was eating the right things, advised me that a local doctor was just next door and all the right steps that allowed me to overcome the onset of altitude sickness and make it to Everest Base Camp! He even arranged for a cake (a complete surprise) for my 60th birthday on the night we made it to Base Camp!!! In addition, I informed him that I was a birder after which he bent over backwards to make sure I saw as many species that time would allow. He also heard my number 1 target bird for the trip, spotted it and waited for me to get great views before we moved on. We were definitely sad to say goodbye in Lukla on our last day. Mr. Sumit was our porter. He is young man that worked tirelessly to make our journey comfortable and pleasant by carrying the heavy load all the way to EBC. He accompanied my sister on the optional day hike on Day 6 when I was starting to experience altitude sickness. Keshab Sapkota was our guide at Bardiya National Park and like Kiran, made every effort to find as many birds species as possible, in addition to getting three Bengal Tigers for us! He took us on an additional night drive, where we saw a Giant Red Flying Squirrel, a species he had never seen and he has lived in this village his whole life. We also saw the Gharial Crocodile, which is more rare than the Bengal Tigers in a river on the way from the airport. Öngschuk, was our guide in Bhutan. He was such a kind and sweet soul and in keeping with my review of the other guides, he followed suit. We particularly liked our accommodations in Paro along the river.
